Your child’s safety and comfort come first.

Before joining any BeNative session, every student has a short 5-minute safety call with their parent or guardian present. This gives us the opportunity to introduce ourselves, make sure everyone is comfortable, answer any questions and explain how our online sessions work.

We want every session to feel safe, welcoming and low-pressure, so children can relax, participate and be themselves.

Our small-group sessions give every student the opportunity to participate, share their ideas and get to know the other people in their group. Sessions are interactive and conversation-focused, with games, discussions and activities designed to encourage natural, spontaneous English.

We don't currently offer direct booking through the website. Once you get in touch, we'll help you choose the session that best suits your child and explain the next steps.

Once your session has been arranged, we'll send you a secure online payment link. We'll also provide everything you need to know about joining your session, including the Zoom link and any relevant session information.

We offer free trial sessions so you can see if BeNative is the right fit for your child.

What English level does my child need?

During our 5-minute introduction call, with a parent or guardian present, we’ll get a better idea of your child’s English level, confidence and what type of session would suit them best.

For Kids Chat and Teen Talk, students need to have a basic level of English and be able to form simple sentences and talk about familiar topics, such as their family, hobbies or daily routine.

If your child is a complete beginner or currently struggles to form and understand basic sentences, 1:1 sessions may be a better starting point. These can be adapted to their level and are suitable from the very beginning of learning English.

Not sure which option is right? Don't worry — we'll help you work it out during the introduction call.

How do I pay?

Once you’ve chosen your session, we’ll send you a secure payment link. Payment is made online before your session. First session free!

Do I need a computer?

Not necessarily! Our sessions can be accessed from a computer, tablet or smartphone. We recommend using a device with a larger screen where possible, especially for younger children.

How do sessions take place?

All sessions take place online via Zoom. You’ll receive a Zoom link before your session and can join from a computer, tablet or smartphone.

We recommend using a computer or tablet with a larger screen, particularly for younger children, but a smartphone is absolutely fine too.

Can siblings join?

Absolutely! Siblings are welcome to join the same group session, as long as their ages and English levels are suitable for the same group.

Each sibling must join from their own device and have their own place in the session, so each child is charged separately.

For 1:1 sessions, each child has their own individual session.

What happens if we miss a session?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please let us know at least 48 hours before the session.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance can either be refunded or transferred to another available week.

For cancellations made less than 48 hours before the session, the session may not be eligible for a refund or transfer.

How is my child kept safe online?

Getting started is easy! Simply get in touch with us and tell us a little about your child, including their age, English level and what you’re looking for.

We’ll help you find the most suitable session or programme. Before your child joins their first session, we’ll arrange a 5-minute introduction and safety call with a parent or guardian present. This is a chance to meet us, ask any questions and confirm that the session is a good fit.

Common Questions, Answered

Can my child join if they are shy or lack confidence?

Before joining their first BeNative session, every student has a 5-minute safety and introduction call with a parent or guardian present.

This gives us the opportunity to introduce ourselves, answer any questions, explain how our online sessions work and make sure both you and your child feel comfortable before joining.

We want every session to be a safe, welcoming and low-pressure environment where children and teenagers can enjoy speaking English, meeting others and building their confidence.

How long are the sessions?

Can my child join from anywhere in the world?

How do I get started?

Session length depends on the programme:

  • 1:1 English: 25 or 50 minutes

  • Kids Chat: 30 minutes

  • Teen Talk: 50 minutes

  • Cambridge Pair: 50 minutes

Absolutely! This is one of the main things we want to help with at BeNative.

Our sessions are designed to help shy children and teenagers gradually grow in confidence and feel more comfortable speaking English.

We want English practice to feel fun, social and relaxed — not like another class at school. Through games, conversations and activities, students can practise speaking naturally while getting to know others and having fun.

Yes! BeNative Online is open to students from anywhere in the world. 🌎

We’ll match your child with other students who are a suitable fit for their age, English level and available time zone, so they can enjoy conversations with others at a similar level.

If you're unsure whether we can find a suitable group for your child, just get in touch and we'll help you find the right option.
